India, Nov. 6 -- Crude oil prices moved higher on Thursday, gaining Rs 15 to Rs 5,326 per barrel in futures trade, driven by improved spot demand and fresh positions taken by market participants.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), crude oil for December delivery was trading up by 0.28% at Rs 5,326 per barrel, with 3,044 lots being traded.

According to analysts, the uptick in prices was mainly supported by participants increasing their bets, reflecting a positive outlook in the near term.
