India, Jan. 8 -- Crude oil prices moved higher in futures trade on Thursday, supported by firm demand in the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), crude oil contracts for February delivery gained Rs 19, or 0.37%, to trade at Rs 5,086 per barrel, with a turnover of 6,283 lots.

Market analysts said the build-up of fresh positions by participants, amid steady spot market cues, helped keep crude oil futures prices higher.
