India, Dec. 11 -- Crude oil prices climbed Rs 30 to Rs 5,285 per barrel on Thursday in futures trade, as participants increased their positions amid strong spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), crude oil for January delivery was trading Rs 30 higher, or 0.57%, at Rs 5,285 per barrel across 6,567 lots.

Analysts said the uptick in crude futures was supported by renewed buying interest from market participants.
