India, Aug. 6 -- Crude oil prices rose by Rs 15 to Rs 5,763 per barrel in futures trading on Wednesday, driven by increased positions from participants amid firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), August delivery contracts were up Rs 15, or 0.26%, trading at Rs 5,763 per barrel with a volume of 8,675 lots.

Analysts noted that renewed buying interest and higher bets by traders supported the uptrend in crude oil futures.
