India, Jan. 1 -- Crude oil prices in the futures market rose marginally on Thursday, gaining Rs 4 to trade at Rs 5,217 per barrel, amid mixed cues from global markets.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), crude oil contracts for January delivery were trading higher by Rs 4, or 0.08 per cent, at Rs 5,217 per barrel, with a business volume of 18,240 lots.
Market participants said trading activity remained subdued as investors largely stayed on the sidelines due to the New Year's Day holiday in the United States.
