India, Aug. 8 -- Crude oil prices fell Rs 28 to Rs 5,576 per barrel in Friday's futures trade as traders cut positions, tracking weak demand in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, September delivery crude oil contracts declined Rs 28, or 0.5%, to Rs 5,576 per barrel, with a turnover of 12,516 lots.
Analysts said the decline came as participants reduced holdings in response to subdued spot market demand.
