India, Dec. 30 -- Cottonseed oil cake prices rose on Tuesday, gaining Rs 27 to Rs 3,114 per quintal in futures trade, as speculators built fresh positions amid higher demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), cottonseed oil cake for January delivery traded higher by Rs 27, or 0.87 per cent, at Rs 3,114 per quintal, with an open interest of 32,910 lots.
Market participants said prices were supported by the expansion of positions by traders, driven mainly by rising demand for cattle feed.
