India, July 28 -- Copper prices edged lower by 0.08% to Rs 895.60 per kilogram in futures trading on Monday, as traders reduced their positions amid subdued demand in the domestic market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for August delivery dropped by 70 paise to Rs 895.60 per kg, with a trading volume of 6,814 lots.
Analysts said the decline was mainly due to reduced interest from participants, reflecting weak market sentiment.
