India, June 6 -- Copper prices fell by 0.05% to Rs 883.55 per kg on Friday, as traders trimmed positions amid subdued demand in the domestic market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, July copper contracts dropped by 40 paise to Rs 883.55 per kg, with a turnover of 1,383 lots.

Analysts said the decline was mainly due to reduced participation and lower demand from consuming sectors.
