India, July 16 -- Copper prices declined by 0.35% to Rs 886.40 per kilogram in futures trading on Wednesday, as traders trimmed their positions amid subdued demand in the domestic market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper futures for August delivery fell by Rs 3.10, or 0.35%, to Rs 886.40 per kg, with 4,009 lots traded.

Analysts said the drop in prices was largely due to reduced participation and lower demand, prompting traders to scale back their bets.
