India, March 13 -- Copper futures declined by 0.45% to Rs 896.20 per kilogram on Thursday as traders reduced their positions due to subdued demand in the domestic market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for April delivery dropped by Rs 4.05 to Rs 896.20 per kg, with a trading volume of 2,648 lots.

According to analysts, the decline in copper prices was primarily driven by speculative position-cutting, influenced by weak demand in the spot market.
