India, Oct. 8 -- Copper futures gained 0.2%, rising to Rs 1,004 per kilogram on Wednesday, supported by higher spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for November delivery increased by Rs 2.05 or 0.2% to close at Rs 1,004 per kg, with a trading volume of 1,643 lots.

Analysts attributed the uptick in copper prices to increased speculative bets by market participants.
