India, Nov. 13 -- Copper prices climbed 0.48% to Rs 1,025 per kilogram in futures trade on Thursday, driven by strong spot market demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for December delivery advanced by Rs 4.85, or 0.48%, to Rs 1,025 per kilogram, with a business turnover of 3,263 lots.

Market analysts said the uptick in copper prices was mainly due to increased buying by participants amid improved demand from consuming industries.
