India, Aug. 8 -- Copper futures edged up 0.24% to ?887.80 per kilogram on Friday, supported by robust demand in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, September delivery copper contracts climbed Rs 2.10, or 0.24%, to Rs 887.80 per kg, with a turnover of 1,490 lots.

Analysts said the uptick in prices was driven by increased buying activity from market participants.
