India, Dec. 15 -- Copper prices advanced in futures trade on Monday, supported by higher spot demand and increased buying by market participants. On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for January delivery climbed Rs 11.05, or 1 per cent, to Rs 1,119.40 per kg, with a turnover of 4,228 lots.
Analysts said the uptick in prices was driven by higher bets taken by participants in the futures market.
