India, May 22 -- Copper futures rose 0.24% to Rs 862.85 per kilogram on Thursday, supported by strong demand in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for June delivery increased by Rs 2.10 or 0.24% to Rs 862.85 per kg, with a trading volume of 5,270 lots.

Analysts said the price uptick was driven by fresh buying interest from market participants.
