India, Dec. 8 -- Copper futures traded firm on Monday, rising 0.78 percent to Rs 1,109.05 per kg on improved demand in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the January delivery contract gained Rs 8.60 to Rs 1,109.05 per kg, with a turnover of 1,724 lots.
Analysts noted that increased buying by participants contributed to the uptrend in copper prices.
