India, April 22 -- Copper prices on Wednesday rose by Rs 10.05 to Rs 1,275.10 per kg in futures trade, backed by steady demand in the physical market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for April 30 delivery increased by 0.79% or Rs 10.05 to Rs 1,275.10 per kg, with a turnover of 7,747 lots.
Analysts attributed the uptick to fresh buying interest, as traders built new positions amid improving demand trends.
