India, Dec. 26 -- Coal India Limited (CIL) has appointed B. Sairam, Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD), as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company. The decision was taken by the Board at its meeting held on December 26, 2025.
The appointment is effective from the date of assumption of charge and will continue until his superannuation or further orders, whichever is earlier. The formal date of appointment is December 15, 2025 (A/N).
Shri B. Sairam brings over three decades of experience in the coal sector. Prior to his current role, he served as CMD of Northern Coalfields Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of CIL.
