India, Dec. 9 -- The Ministry of Rural Development has approved 25 road projects spanning 65.38 km in Tripura under the road connectivity component of PM-JANMAN. The projects, worth ?68.67 crore, aim to provide all-weather road access to 30 Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG) habitations.
The initiative is expected to improve socio-economic conditions for PVTG communities by enhancing rural connectivity, stimulating trade and commerce, providing better access to healthcare, education and markets, and creating employment opportunities.
The move aligns with the government's broader vision of strengthening the Northeast and advancing inclusive development under the Viksit Bharat agenda.
