India, Dec. 31 -- The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved the construction of a six-lane greenfield, access-controlled Nashik–Solapur–Akkalkot corridor in Maharashtra, with a total capital cost of Rs 19,142 crore.

According to an official statement, the 374-km-long project will be developed under the BOT (Toll) mode.

Once completed, the corridor will significantly enhance regional connectivity by linking key cities such as Nashik, Ahilyanagar, and Solapur, and will further improve connectivity towards Kurnool, boosting economic activity and trade across the region.
