India, Dec. 12 -- The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for copra for the 2026 season. In line with the government's policy of ensuring MSPs at least 1.5 times the all-India weighted average cost of production, the MSP for Fair Average Quality milling copra has been set at Rs 12,027 per quintal, and for ball copra at Rs 12,500 per quintal.
The revision marks an increase of ?445 per quintal for milling copra and Rs 400 per quintal for ball copra over the previous season. Since 2014, MSPs for milling and ball copra have risen by 129% and 127%, respectively.
