India, May 12 -- In a strategic move to bolster India's capabilities in quantum-secure communications, the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT), the premier telecom R&D institution under the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Government of India, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Synergy Quantum India Private Limited, a leading deep-tech firm specializing in quantum technologies.
The MoU outlines a collaborative effort to develop drone-based Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) systems using the decoy-state BB84 protocol with polarization encoding, targeting a Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of 6 or higher.
