India, Jan. 15 -- Biotech firm Biocon on Thursday said it has raised Rs 4,150 crore through a Qualified Institutions Placement (QIP).

The Bengaluru-based company issued 112,664,585 equity shares with a face value of Rs 5 each to eligible qualified institutional buyers at an issue price of Rs 368.35 per share, according to a regulatory filing.

The QIP, which opened on January 12 and closed on January 14, witnessed strong demand from a diverse pool of domestic and international investors, reflecting confidence in the company's growth outlook, Biocon added.
