India, Feb. 2 -- Ashok Leyland on Monday reported a 27 per cent year-on-year increase in total vehicle sales at 21,920 units in January, compared with 17,213 units in the same month last year.

Domestic sales rose sharply by 31 per cent to 20,079 units, up from 15,327 units in January 2025, reflecting strong demand across segments.

Sales of medium and heavy commercial vehicles (M&HCV) in the domestic market also posted healthy growth, climbing to 12,833 units from 9,864 units a year ago, the company said in a statement.
