India, Jan. 2 -- Aluminium prices advanced in futures trade on Friday, rising nearly 2 per cent as speculators built fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), aluminium futures for January delivery climbed Rs 5.50, or 1.85 per cent, to Rs 302.80 per kg, with a trading volume of 4,296 lots.
Analysts said the uptick was supported by renewed buying interest and steady demand from consuming industries, which kept aluminium prices firm in the futures market.
