India, March 17 -- Aluminium prices climbed 55 paise to Rs 263.60 per kilogram in futures trading on Monday as traders built fresh positions amid a positive spot market trend.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, April delivery aluminium contracts rose by 55 paise, or 0.21%, to Rs 263.60 per kg, with a trading volume of 1,018 lots.

Analysts attributed the price increase to fresh buying by traders, supported by demand from consuming industries.
