India, April 22 -- Aluminium prices edged higher on Tuesday, climbing 70 paise to ?232.60 per kilogram in the futures market, as traders initiated fresh positions amid a firm trend in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the May delivery contract rose by 0.3% to ?232.60 per kg in a total of 3,599 lots.

According to analysts, the uptick in prices was driven by renewed buying from traders, supported by steady demand from key consuming industries.
