India, April 7 -- Aluminium prices rose by 90 paise to Rs 233.60 per kg on Monday in the futures market, as traders initiated fresh positions amid a firm trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), May delivery contracts for aluminium increased by 0.39% to Rs 233.60 per kg, with a trading volume of 1,185 lots.
Analysts attributed the rise to renewed demand from consuming industries, which encouraged speculators to build fresh bets in the futures segment.
