India, March 12 -- Aluminium prices edged up by Re 1 to Rs 265.20 per kilogram on Wednesday in the futures market, driven by renewed buying interest and a positive trend in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, April delivery aluminium contracts rose by Re 1, or 0.38 per cent, to Rs 265.20 per kg, with a total trading volume of 757 lots.

According to analysts, increased demand from consuming industries prompted traders to initiate fresh positions, supporting the price movement.
