India, Jan. 14 -- Aluminium prices rose in the futures market on Wednesday, climbing 0.39 per cent to Rs 324.50 per kg, as speculators built up fresh positions amid a firm trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium contracts for February delivery increased by Rs 1.25, or 0.39 per cent, to trade at Rs 324.50 per kilogram, with a total turnover of 2,956 lots.
Analysts said the uptick in prices was supported by fresh buying by traders, driven by steady demand from consuming industries, which lent support to aluminium prices in the futures market.
