India, Dec. 10 -- Aluminium prices advanced on Wednesday, rising Rs 1.95 to Rs 279.95 per kg in futures trade as speculators built fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), aluminium for January delivery climbed Rs 1.95, or 0.70%, to Rs 279.95 per kg, with a turnover of 835 lots.

Analysts said the rise in prices was supported by fresh buying from traders, driven by demand from consuming industries.
