India, Aug. 11 -- Aluminium prices climbed 55 paise to Rs 255.60 per kilogram in futures trade on Monday as traders initiated fresh positions, supported by a firm trend in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), September delivery contracts gained 55 paise, or 0.22%, to ?255.60 per kg, with a turnover of 508 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise to renewed buying by participants, driven by demand from consuming industries.
