India, July 17 -- Aluminium prices rose by 15 paise to Rs 248.75 per kilogram in Thursday's futures trade as traders built fresh positions, tracking a firm trend in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), aluminium contracts for August delivery gained 0.06% or 15 paise to Rs 248.75 per kg, with 1,562 lots traded.

According to analysts, the uptick was driven by renewed demand from consuming industries, prompting speculators to initiate fresh bets in the futures segment.
