India, July 8 -- Aluminium prices rose by Rs 1.20 to Rs 248.65 per kilogram in Tuesday's futures trade, as traders initiated fresh positions amid a firm trend in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium contracts for July delivery gained Rs 1.20, or 0.48 per cent, to trade at Rs 248.65 per kg in 3,612 lots.

Analysts attributed the uptick to renewed buying by participants, supported by steady demand from consuming industries.
