India, Dec. 4 -- Aluminium prices rose 45 paise to Rs 280.80 per kg in futures trade on Thursday as speculators created fresh positions amid a firm trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), aluminium for January delivery gained 0.16% to trade at Rs 280.80 per kg, with a turnover of 323 lots.
Analysts said the rise in aluminium futures was supported by renewed buying interest and steady demand from consuming industries.
