India, Dec. 15 -- Aluminium prices moved higher in futures trade on Monday, driven by fresh positions taken by speculators amid a positive trend in the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), aluminium for January delivery rose by Rs 2, or 0.71 per cent, to Rs 283.55 per kg, with a trading volume of 1,240 lots.

Analysts said demand from consuming industries encouraged traders to build fresh positions, lending support to aluminium prices in the futures market.
