India, April 21 -- Aluminium prices slipped by 80 paise to Rs 232 per kilogram in futures trade on Monday, as traders reduced their positions amid a subdued trend in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), aluminium for May delivery declined by 80 paise or 0.34% to Rs 232 per kg, with a business turnover of 3,276 lots.

Analysts attributed the decline to lower demand from consuming industries, prompting participants to pare down their holdings.
