India, July 31 -- Aluminium prices dropped by Rs 1.80 to Rs 252.05 per kilogram in futures trading on Thursday, as traders reduced their positions amid a subdued trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium contracts for August delivery slipped Rs 1.80, or 0.71%, to Rs 252.05 per kg across 4,610 lots.
Analysts attributed the decline to reduced demand from key consuming industries, prompting participants to pare down their holdings.
