India, May 7 -- Aluminium prices fell by Rs 2.05 to Rs 229.85 per kilogram in futures trading on Wednesday, as traders reduced their positions amid a sluggish trend in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium contracts for May delivery dropped 0.88% to ?229.85 per kg, with a trading volume of 5,151 lots.

Analysts attributed the decline to subdued demand from consuming industries, prompting participants to scale back their positions.
