India, April 3 -- Aluminium prices dropped by Rs 3.15 to Rs 239.95 per kilogram in the futures market on Thursday as participants reduced their positions amid a weak trend in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, May delivery aluminium contracts fell by Rs 3.15 or 1.3% to Rs 239.95 per kg, with a total of 567 lots traded.

Analysts attributed the price decline to reduced positions by market participants due to sluggish demand from consuming industries.
