India, Nov. 26 -- Bharti Airtel promoter entity Indian Continent Investment Ltd (ICIL), part of Sunil Bharti Mittal's family office, sold 3.43 crore equity shares—representing 0.56% stake—in Bharti Airtel on Wednesday, raising approximately Rs 7,190 crore (USD 806 million).
Following the transaction, Bharti Airtel's stock declined, slipping 3% to Rs 2,097.50 on the NSE and 2.81% to Rs 2,100 on the BSE.
ICIL is one of the key promoter companies of the telecom major.
