India, Aug. 29 -- Adani Power Ltd., India's largest private sector thermal power producer, has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from Bihar State Power Generation Company Ltd. (BSPGCL) for long-term procurement of 2,400 MW of power over 25 years. The supply will come from a greenfield ultra-supercritical plant (3x800 MW) to be established at Pirpainti in Bhagalpur district, Bihar.
The LoA was issued by BSPGCL on behalf of North Bihar Power Distribution Company Ltd. (NBPDCL) and South Bihar Power Distribution Company Ltd. (SBPDCL). This will be followed by the signing of a Power Supply Agreement (PSA) between the parties.
