India, Feb. 5 -- Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL) has achieved a major milestone by installing 1 crore electricity smart meters across distribution companies (discoms), becoming the first company in India — and possibly globally — to reach this scale of deployment. The company now aims to deliver the next 1 crore meters in the coming financial year.
As an Advanced Metering Infrastructure Service Provider (AMISP), AESL holds a mandate to install nearly 2.5 crore smart meters across five states. With an installation pace of around 25,000 meters per day, the company said it currently leads the industry in deployment speed.
