India, Aug. 21 -- The Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) has been driving the growth and development of India's food processing sector through various initiatives. These include two Central Sector Schemes — Pradhan Mantri Kisan SAMPADA Yojana (PMKSY) and the Production Linked Incentive Scheme for Food Processing Industry (PLISFPI) — along with the centrally sponsored PM Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) scheme. These schemes, which are demand-driven and implemented nationwide, provide financial, technical, and business support for establishing and upgrading food processing enterprises.
