Pakistan, June 30 -- Tremors from an earthquake were felt in Zhob district and surrounding areas in Balochistan on Monday. Residents reported shaking buildings and brief panic in some parts of the region.
According to the earthquake monitoring center, the quake measured 4.8 on the Richter scale and originated at a depth of 20 kilometers underground. The epicenter was located about 40 kilometers southwest of Zhob city.
Local authorities quickly assessed the situation, and no immediate reports of injuries or damage to property have come in. Emergency response teams remain on alert to respond if needed.
