ISLAMABAD, July 7 -- In a major reshuffle in the country's top judicial offices, President Asif Ali Zardari on Monday formally appointed chief justices for all four high courts. The appointments were made based on recommendations from the Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP), which held a series of meetings last week to finalise the nominations.

Justice Sarfraz Dogar has been appointed Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court, a position he was holding in an acting capacity since Chief Justice Aamer Farooq's elevation to the Supreme Court.
