Pakistan, Jan. 22 -- President Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday approved the confirmation of 27 additional judges of the Sindh, Lahore and Peshawar high court as permanent judges, following recommendations made by the Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP).

According to a statement issued by the President's Secretariat, the approvals were granted in line with the JCP's recommendations and on the advice of the prime minister. The move is part of an ongoing process to strengthen judicial capacity and address vacancies across the country's superior courts.
