Pakistan, July 20 -- KARACHI - YouTube has revised its monetisation rules by updating its "reused content" policy, now renamed as "inauthentic content." The change aims to clearly define and discourage repetitive or overly produced material that lacks originality. However, experts believe the shift is less dramatic than it appears on social media.
Social media strategist Talha Labib explained that YouTube has always preferred original uploads and this update only clarifies what already existed. According to her, creators producing copied or spam-like videos were never eligible for monetisation, so fears of widespread demonetisation are exaggerated.
