Pakistan, Jan. 30 -- WhatsApp, the globally popular messaging app owned by Meta, is reportedly developing a new subscription plan that will offer users a range of exclusive and premium features to enhance the messaging experience.

The subscription plan is currently in the beta phase for Android users, with WhatsApp focusing on customization options and tools that go beyond its earlier ad-free offering in Europe and the UK.

Earlier, the optional subscription removed ads from the Updates tab, ensuring users would no longer see promoted channels or ads in status updates, improving the overall interface and minimizing distractions for paying members.
